LeadUp SafeAccess: Education and Health Support for IDP Youth and Mothers in New Kuchingoro, Abuja

Delivering essential services and digital learning to internally displaced adolescents and families

Across Nigeria, over 10 millions children are growing up in displacement, denied access to education, health care, and dignity. At LeadUp, we believe no child should be forgotten especially those caught in cycles of poverty and crisis.

In a recent outreach to New Kuchingoro IDP Camp in Abuja, we launched a pilot intervention under our LeadUp SafeAccess program. With just ₦150,000 (about $100), we were able to make an outsized impact:

•  Reintegrated 50+ children into school by paying their third-term fees
•  Supplied basic medical items to improve health and well-being
• Restored dignity to children who had been sidelined due to poverty and unpaid fees

This initiative demonstrates that powerful change does not always require vast budgets just intentional action and community support.
